Khurshid denies meeting deposed Chief Justice

Minister for Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis Syed Khurshid Shah on Sunday vehemently denied his meeting deposed Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. In a brief discussion with a private TV channel he said no message is delivered to the deposed CJP.
The media reports in this regard are baseless, malicious and unfounded. Such absurd news reporting should be avoided. He said he had gone to condole the death of senior lawyer of Sukkur Imdad Ali Awan at his residence. Only formal greetings were exchanged with the deposed CJP there.
It is pity that some section of media is disseminating absolutely baseless news stories. If need arises negotiations with deposed judges would be held openly, he said.
Government was not hatching conspiracies against anybody. It would take decision about judges in consultation with its allies. Deposed judges would be restored without any coercion. PPP was facing big multiple thorny issues like price-hike, law and order situation. PPP was planning relief for the countrymen.
