Pakistan Navy plans to promote sea sports

Commander Pakistan Navy Coast and Chairman PN Water Sports South, Rear Admiral Muhammad Shafi SI (M) Chairman Water Sports Gala (south), announced that after successful three days of sea sports festival, Pakistan Navy plans to organise such festivals every year. It will also promote sea sports alongside the coastal areas of the country with the co-operation of private sector.
Talking to media men at Naval Headquarters, he said over 300 children were given training in swimming, roving, sailing, water skiing, canoeing and other sports during the festival, while a large number of parents along with their children enjoyed and actively participated in the sea sports festival. He said there is a lot of local potential to bring world class sea sports glory back to Pakistan, while Pakistan Navy is striving to get the sea shores clean from pollution to promote sea fishing games.-PR
