BRIndex30 loses 451.18 points

On Wednesday, the BRIndex30 opened in the negative zone, at 10,380.19, and remained there for whole of the trading time, closing at 9,929.01 with a net negative change of -451.18 points and percentage change of -4.35. It saw intra-day high of 10,380.19 and low of 9,723.27.
The volume amounted to 48,845,700 shares, which was 62.68 percent of the total market and 85.86 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 77,931,740 and 56,886,980 shares, respectively.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the most active sector. It closed at 3,220.73 with a net negative change of -146.21 points and percentage change of -4.34. The turnover for this sector was 20,461,500 shares. BR Cement Index was the second most active sector with a turnover of 15,916,228 shares. It saw a gain of 48.62 points or 5.33 percent, closing at 961.34.
BR Oil and Gas Index was the third most active sector with a turnover of 12,684,000 shares. It closed at 1,870.48 with a net negative change of -66.17 points or -3.42 percent. BR Tech. & Comm. Index closed at 1,019.49 with a downward change of -26.04 points and percentage change of -2.49. The volume of this sector was 4,710,700 shares.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,138.27 with a net negative change of -50.67 points or -4.26 percent. The turnover for this sector was 1,465,800 shares, which was lowest among BR Indices.
