Crackdown against human traffickers launched

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has launched a crack down against agents, sub-agents and human traffickers in Sialkot district following the brutal killing of a Daska based Pakistani youth, Khurram Shehzad alias Moon by the agents and international human traffickers in Turkey, near Turkish-Greek border.
According to official sources, the FIA arrested as many as five notorious human traffickers, Amjad Hafeez, Zahid Hussain, Mujahid, Muhammad Boota and Khalid Malik from various urban and rural parts of Sialkot district.
These accused were carrying heinous crime of human trafficking by illegally sending innocent people abroad after luring them of golden opportunities abroad and extorting millions of rupees since long. FIA have arrested these accused and have started investigation after registering separate cases against them. According to the FIA officials, the 'City of Exports' Sialkot stands second in human trafficking after Gujrat in Gujranwala division.
The officials also added that as many as 733 people of Gujrat district were deported from abroad, while, 414 people of Sialkot district, 393 people of Gujranwala district and 298 people of Mandi Bahaud Din district, were deported from abroad during the last seven months.
