Indus, Ravi in low flood

Indus and Ravi river are in low flood, while NWFP Kabul river at Naushehra is in medium flood, said the flood monitoring centre. Indus at Kalabagh, Chashma and Taunsa and Ravi river at Baloki are in low flood, Kabul river at Naushehra in medium flood.
While all other major rivers in the country are flowing normally, a private TV channel reported. Monsoon system from the Arabian Sea is heading towards Punjab and Kashmir at 5000 feet height.
In the next 24 hours, north-eastern areas of Punjab Lahore, Gujranawala, Rawalpindi, NWFP upper areas Malakand, Hazara and Peshawar division besides some places in Azad Kashmir likely to witness rains with strong winds. Marala recorded rains during the last 24 hours 144mm, Lahore 63, Sialkot 49, Kand 29 and Kotli 3mm.
