Two-week long strike of Patwaries in Punjab is yielding negative impact over the collection of Agriculture Tax and other Revenues, while hundred prisoners are unable to be released from Jail in spite of acceptance of their bails from the concerned courts due to non-presence of Bail Guarantee to the court per Court's order.
According to Anjuman-e-Patwarian Punjab, discussion between Government and Patwaries is not become fruitful, therefore, the common-men are in great trouble. Sale and Purchase as well as the mortgages of the properties is not in operation.
The people arrested in different cases are unable to be released even they granted bails from the concerned courts but not allowed to be released out from jail until to submit bail bond to the court which is not possible during Patwaris' strike.
Furthermore, Patwaries collecting Agricultural Tax and other types of revenues are claiming 6 percent Commission out of that collection. Tariq Gujjar President of Anjuman Patwarian said that the Government must award Grade 9 along with 45 percent addition.
