'Patients being maltreated in hospitals'

Profession like medicine, which preferably demands humanity than wealth, is badly being misused by some social evil, several hospitals and maternity homes are reportedly playing with human lives across Sindh. This was stated by Dr Rahmeen Gohar Musavi, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at a press conference held at KPC on Saturday.
She said that malpractice's are skyrocketed in several hospitals and maternity homes where patients are being maltreated by doctors and paramedical staff. She said that several delivery cases where conditions are favourable for patients to go for normal process, unnecessary operations have been done to earn more money, which puts patients lives endanger.
She said that the death of unborn babies in wombs have been reported during unnecessary operations in so many cases. She said that this shameful act should be avoided and added that every doctor should realise his/her responsibility and pay honestly to the society. She demanded concerned authorities to take stern action against the persons involved in this heinous crime.
