District Co-ordination Officer, Muzaffargarh, Tariq Javed Malik has assured that people's grievances would be redressed on top priority basis and open kutcheries were being held as per instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Chief Secretary Punjab to provide relief to masses at their doorstep.
Addressing the open kutchery at Jatoi, DCO asked the SDPOs to register all the complaints without any delay and stern action would be taken against the medical officer concerned if he issues fabricated and wrong medico legal certificates (MLCs). A nazim of union council Sabai Wala Muhammad Khalid Abbas Khan told that principal of Sardar Koray Khan School is absent for the last four months and only three teachers were serving there while Moza Sabai Wala has plunged into dark for the last five months as its faulty transformer was not replaced. Upon this DCO ordered the executive engineer to redress the grievances within a week and staff problem of the school also be resolved.
A citizen Ghulam Ali Kumhar told that he is a poor person and he is unable to marry his four daughters. Upon this DCO asked the social welfare department to submit this case for "Jahez Fund". Bet Mir Hazar's Muhammad Zahid Jamil complained that his brother was injured by a tenant on April 28,2008 but doctor did not issue the MLC. Instead, he issued the certificate to the culprit who got registered a false case against his brother. Upon this DPO Muzaffargarh ordered the DSP Jatoi to submit a report within a week.
One Raqbnawaz of Billu Sandeela (Shehr Sultan) alleged that police did not arrest a nominated thief Ayub Shafiq Arain who had stolen a buffalo one and half year ago. Police had extorted bribe of Rs 45,000 but neither recovered the buffalo nor arrested the culprit.
Upon this DPO asked the DSP to recover the animal within a week. Khadim Hussain of Moza Jungle-Jatoi alleged that his ailing son was beaten up by Rashid and Yasin who also snatched cash of Rs 4500 but police did not arrest them in spite of institution of the case. Upon this DPO ordered the DSP to arrest the culprits within a week, Makhdoom Ali Jatoi told that all water outlets (Mogas) had broken and tail-ender were not getting water and irrigation staff was not taking action against the water thieves. Upon this DCO asked the SDO (canal) and DDO(R) to take immediate action.
President of Anjuman Tajiran Mian Muhammad Fayyaz Hussain submitted his charter of demands and said that entire Bazar must be recovered with tin-plates, fire brigade be provided to meet any emergency, sports-ground, completion of work on sewerage system, water purification plant, supply of electricity in Mohallah Mosafir Shah to Saar Wala and replacement of all faulty transformers and unserviceable transmission lines, Hamze-Wali area must be given in the jurisdiction of Shehr Sultan or Jatoi Sadar and overloading, over charging in transport be stopped. Upon this DCO ordered the TMA and other concerned departments to take immediate actions. Murid Abbas, Shaikh Muhammad Din, Dr Khalid Pervsz, Nazim Jatoi complained against the health authorities, Nadra, and building department.
