Members of Parliament from Bajaur have expressed their concern over the loss of human lives and public properties demanded of the government to stop military operation in Bajaur with immediate effect.
In a joint statement on Sunday, Bajaur MPs Shaukat Khan, Akhunzada Chatan and Abdur Rashid said that the people of Bajour are facing worst kind of difficulties because of the ongoing operation. They said that 90 percent shops of main bazaars of the agency are closed due to bombardment.
Further, the MPs stated that thousands of people have vacated their houses and shifted to safer places.
They recalled that earlier it was decided in a meeting of the allied parties, chaired by the Prime Minister, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani that issues would be resolved through negotiations instead of military operation.
The tribal people had welcomed it but despite it military operation was started in Bajaur.
They also demanded of the government to stop military operation in Bajaur so that the area could be saved from further disaster.
