Experts stress need to control maternal mortality rate

'Gynecologists should be well-trained in advance scientific studies and methods to control the maternal mortality rate.' Medical experts viewed this during gynecologists' training workshop held under the auspices of Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI) on Sunday.
More than 20 prominent professors delivered their lectures on the subject during the two-day workshop participated by 53 lady doctors drawn from all over the province. Prof. Dr Muhammad Tayyab of Gynecology Department of Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI) focussed on clinical complications and problems during delivery process.
While addressing the concluding session of the workshop, MS Lahore General Hospital, Dr Umer Farooq Baloch said that women and children should be given especial attention and to establish a healthy society.
