All set to celebrate independence day

All necessary arrangements have been finalised to celebrate independence day in a befitting manner in all four tehsils of Sialkot district on August 14. The daylong programme would start with special prayer for the solidarity, prosperity and unity of the country as well as for the early liberation of Indian-held Kashmir in mosques of the district.
Various social, cultural organisations and educational institutions have prepared their colourful programmes in accordance with the day in Sialkot, Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial tehsils of Sialkot district. The sale of national flags, colourful buntings, garlands, big portraits of Quaid-i-Azam, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and other national heroes was at its peak in the city and other tehsils of the district.
The decoration of commercial areas, markets, bazaars, government offices and private buildings was in full swing, while people have also decorated of their houses with national flags and colourful buntings in the city. On this occasion, a special flag hoisting ceremony would be held under the auspices of Sialkot Tehsil Municipal administration (STMA) at Jinnah hall.
