28 killed in Kurram, Bajaur

At least 18 people were killed while 30 others injured in ongoing fierce clashes between tribes in Kurram Agency on Thursday, Aaj TV reported. According to reports, clashes continued in Kurram Agency's areas of Bagzai, Chardiwar, Jilamay, Sadda, Kharklay, Balishkhel and others. Both sides are reportedly using heavy weapons including missiles and mortar shells.
The weeklong fighting has left as many as 120 people dead and more then 200 injured, the channel said. At least 10 people were killed in operation against militants by security forces in Kass and Shinkoi areas of Tehsil Mamoon in Bajaur tribal agency on Thursday the channel further said.
Meanwhile, in Swat two women were killed in firing between security forces and militants at Malam Jabba. Security forces operation against the militants is continuing in Kabbal and Matta areas of Swat. There is curfew in Kabbal and Matta. In Mingora, the curfew was on Thursday relaxed from 8am to 8pm.
