Ziaul Haq colony residents get lease documents

The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, on Thursday handed over lease documents to the residents of Zia-ul-Haq colony in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 13-D/2 and also inaugurated lease campus. Speaking on the occasion, he said that PPP has always taken bold initiatives for the betterment of poor segment of the society.
Criticising the previous government he said that previous rulers did nothing for giving ownership rights to the residents of katchi abadis. Special Assistant to CM Waqar Mehdi, Imtiaz Mallah, Habib-ud-Din Junaidi and others were also present on the occasion. He said that the government has started implementing party manifesto, which was issued by martyred Benazir Bhutto two weeks prior to her demise.
"We are gathered here to ownership right on the Independence Day because this is your right and we are here to fulfil the promise of our shaheed leader," he added.
Moreover, Shah promised that a resident of Zia-ul-Haq Colony will be appointed as his adviser after consultation with PPP's Karachi president Faisal Raza Abidi and local leaders so that he can present the problems facing the people in a better way. He said that PPP has asked the dictator to leave the post of President of Pakistan because there is no place for him in the country.
Criticising the policies of the previous government he said economic trumoil is the result of previous government's worst polices and the nation is paying the price for that. Furthermore, he also announced to change the name of Zia-ul-Haq colony as Shaheed Munawar Husain Suharwardi colony. Later, he handed over lease documents to the residents.
