Punjab Population Welfare Minister Neelam Jabbar Chaudhry has said on Friday that no one can save President Pervez Musharraf from impeachment and all the escape routes are now close for him.
While talking to party workers, she also said impeachment process against President Musharraf is a legal, constitutional and democratic process, and the coalition government has required votes for impeachment. The critics of impeachment are wrong to say that there will be a leadership crisis after the Musharraf's impeachment and are not sincere with the country as well as with the democracy.
According to her, impeachment move will be successful with thumping majority and there will be a new beginning of democracy and supremacy of constitution in the country. Even close companions and allies of Pervez Musharraf have deserted him.
She congratulated the democratic forces and said Pakistan came into being through a democratic and electoral process but political opportunist allowed neither political forces nor democratic institutions to flourish in the country.
