PPP hold rally for impeachment of President

The Pakistan Peoples Party - Human Rights Wing on Friday organised a "Go- Musharraf Go" rally under the leadership of Provincial Chief Salim-ur-Rehman Mayo, Zubaida Khokhar and Mirza Nazir Baig. The Rally ended at Farooqpura Chowk, while participants shouted slogans saying, "Resign Musharraf" "Go Musharraf Go" and "Vacate Presidency go back to home."
Some Participants tore portraits of the President as well. A large number of PPP workers, activists of NGOs and other political parties also joined it. Addressing the rally, leaders appealed to President Musharraf to resign immediately in the interest of the nation and advised the people of Pakistan to work hard for the prosperity of the country.
They said that a country without a free judiciary couldn't survive. The leaders also said that a strong and independent judiciary was inevitable in providing justice to the people without discrimination. They said that because of the efforts of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and atomic scientists, Pakistan was a nuclear state.
