All Pakistan CNG Dealers Association has threatened to shutdown businesses, if the government fixes its rate at Rs 40 per kg. The Chairman, All Pakistan CNG Dealers Association, Abdul Sami Khan said this in a press conference on Friday. He said that several CNG stations are being forced to sell gas at less than Rs 47 per kg by the government authorities.
He confessed to the fact that currently gas is being provided to all CNG stations at Rs 18.34 per kg including withholding and sales taxes and added that it was not possible to sell the product at Rs 40, owing to other expenses.
'The operational expenses of CNG pumps have tremendously increased due to electricity bill, employee salaries and social security,' Khan maintained. Further, he said that if the government regulatory authority fixes the rate at Rs 40 per kg, it will be difficult to continue their businesses leading closure to all CNG stations.
