The Senate Standing Committee on Interior took serious note of the menace of fake visa business and asked the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to take immediate action against the culprits. The fake visa agents are not only fleecing innocent people, but are also brining a negative impression to the country, said Senator Talha Mehmood, chairman, Senate Standing Committee on Interior here on Saturday, while talking to reporters.
He said the people, who want to go abroad for better job opportunities, are being looted by these agents, who are charging huge money from them. These unauthorised visa agents are looking above the law as no relevant authority is making any check of this nefarious business, he said, adding that it is responsibility of the FIA to check these kinds of activities and take the people involved to task.
Talha Mehmood called upon the government to create jobs for educated youth, who fell prey to these agents. These youth are being exploited by these criminals in the name of better job opportunities abroad, he added. These fake visa agents are earning a bad name for the country and were depriving people of money, he said, adding that FIA should intensify its efforts to unveil these elements and provide relief to the needy.
