17 Aug, 2008

Former Speaker National Assembly Choudary Amir Hussain has strongly condemned the killing of renowned Kashmiri leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz and termed it a naked brutal act.
Talking to media persons here Saturday he urged upon the United Nations to take immediate notice of growing brutalities of Indian forces which were busy in killing the innocent Kashmiris who were struggling for the liberation of the motherland from the Indian yoke.
The liberation movement initiated by the Kashmiris in held Kashmir has gained momentum, which could not be pressed by the additional deployment army, he said. Choudary Amir Hussain said that it was the uppermost duty of United Nations and champions of human rights to take immediate notice of human rights violations because Indian government was intentionally butchering the Kashmiri Muslims but it was very unfortunate that United Nations and human rights organisations are silent over the Muslim genocide in held valley.
The Ex-speaker urged upon the Pakistan government to raise the voice in United Nations against the murder of Kashmiri leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz. Due to poor polices of the present coalition government he said the condition of national economy has become deteriorated and the Pak rupees was facing devaluation in every day. Amir Hussain urged upon the economic mangers that immediate remedial steps should be taken for bringing economic stability in the country.
About the impeachment of President he said though it's the right of the parliament but on the other hand President has also many constitutional powers and the process of impeachment is a lengthy process and its proceedings take time. Choudary Amir Hussain was of the opinion that the issue of impeachment has been raised just to divert the attention of masses from restoration of deposed judges and to jeopardise the lawyers' movement.
Although the lawyer community has extended the date up to September 15th for restoration of deposed judges but it has been observed that there are some breaches among within unity of lawyers because they were not serious with the cause, he added.
Choudary Amir Hussain alleged that government has also failed in maintaining the law and order situation as a result of dacoities; highways robberies, land mafia and Jagga groups had become more active because some elected representatives are patronising these elements for their personal gains.
