18 Aug, 2008

Militants shot dead a tribesman in a tribal area, accusing him of spying for the US-led military in Afghanistan, officials said Sunday. The body of the man, identified as Said Munir, was found on Sunday morning near Saidgi village, 60 kilometres west of Miranshah, a government official said.
The militants left a note on the body saying, "he was spying for American forces and anyone spying on Taliban will be killed like him," the official said. Militants have killed several tribesmen, accusing them of spying on their activities on behalf of US forces operating across the border in Afghanistan.
