SAU employees protest against vice chancellor

A large number of employees along with their children of Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) participated in a rally taken out from Sindhu Nagar Chowk to V.C House. The protestors were chanting slogans against V C and his 'corrupt' team members demanding removal of V.C for illegally involvement in corruption, nepotism, favouritism, misuse of authority, misappropriation of university funds.
They said that PPP leadership should immediate intervene and save the institution in particular and future of employees kids in general.
They complained that the salaries of at least 1200 employees had not been paid, left the children of employees driven out from acquiring basic right of education. They further disclosed that 12 employees have been served with show cause notices on baseless charges.
The procession was addressed by Hussain Bux Vessar, Karam Ali Puno, Ghulam Hyder Joyo, Shamussin Soomro, Akber Maseeh and others. They said that their peaceful struggle would be continued till acceptance of their demands. They further expressed that the prevailing campus situation needs immediate attention by Prime Minister, Governor and Chief Minister of Sindh in the interest to save the image and prestige of an educational institution.
The office-bearers of SAU Employees Action Committee demanded that government should ensure accountability of Bashir Shaikh and his corrupt team. They asked rulers not to give a safe passage to Bashir Shaikh and his kitchen committee because they are responsible for present situation of the campus.
