The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Wednesday facilitated the city traffic police as it provided umbrellas in a ceremony to Superintendent of Police that were donated by one of LCCI members-Haier Pakistan.
Keeping in view the fast increasing vehicular traffic on roads, the LCCI had decided to facilitate city traffic police by equipping them with necessary gadgets that would help improve efficiency of traffic police personnel.
The LCCI Acting President Mian Muzaffar Ali chaired the function while City Traffic Police was represented by SP City Traffic Police Sardar Asif Khan. LCCI Executive Committee Members Khamis Saeed Butt, Ashraf Bhatti, Shafique Riaz, Mubasher Malik and APPMA Chairman Mohammad Ajmal also spoke on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mian Muzaffar Ali lauded the performance of traffic police and said its role is essential in the sense that a disciplined traffic flow gives a picture of whole society. Moreover, smooth traffic flow help in cutting transportation time of goods carriers that is necessary for economic point of view.
