The political authorities at the Torkhum border on Wednesday held an Indian woman along with her Pakistani husband while entering Afghanistan via Torkhum gate without legal travelling documents. Naib Tehsildar Iftikhar Akbar Khan Khattak and Political Moharrar Badshah Afridi have confirmed the arrests of the Indian woman and Nepali citizen at the border check-post.
Similarly, the authorities at Torkhum border also apprehended a Nepali national while entering Pakistan without travelling documents and locked all the arrested people in Landi Kotal Jail for interrogation by the joint interrogation team.
The political authorities at the check-post arrested Indian woman Rehana Bibi, her husband Abdullah resident of Parachinar Kurram Agency and Nepali citizen Dev Parshad. The Nepali national had travelled to Afghanistan from India. The authorities have further tightened the checking at the Torkhum border.
