Presidential award for five scientists

On the occasion of Pakistan's Independence Day, five scientists have been given President's Awards on Technology. Following scientists, engineers and technologists have been given gold medals, certificates and a cash reward of Rs 100,000.
Muhammad Akhtar, Principal Scientist, Pinstech, Paec, Islamabad; Professor Dr Khan Bahadur Marwat, Dean of NWFP Agriculture University, Peshawar; Professor Dr Zafar Iqbal, Chairman Department of Veterinary Parasitology, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad; Professor Dr Ahmad Mukhtar Khalid, Chairman Department of Chemistry, Government College University, Faisalabad; and Professor Dr Akhtar Mohammad Kassi, Department of Geology University of Balochistan, Quetta. The awards will be given by the Minister for Science and Technology on behalf of the President in a special investiture ceremony to be held in near future.
