Senior Punjab Minister Raja Riaz Ahmad has said that government was making all out effort to provide relief to the common man in the province. Talking to Business Recorder at Vireo House on Tuesday here he said that the government will make effort for providing speedy relief to the common man aimed at fulfilling the mission of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
The government has already announced various programmes for the betterment of poor segment of the society and in this regard the government has set aside Rs 32 billion for ration card scheme aimed at providing relief to the poor section of the society in the province, he revealed. The senior minister further said that government would soon introduce a special a package for the salaried persons and middle class for resolving their problems in the Punjab. Drastic steps have also been taken to cope with the price hike and in this regard special teams were conducting raids for ensuring the availability of articles of daily use on reasonable rates, he said.
The Minister said that issue of restoration deposed judges would be resolved with mutual consultation of allied partners adding that former President Pervez Musharraf was the main hurdle in restoration of the deposed judges.
About the investigation of killing of Benazir Bhutto he said that it will be conducted by United Nations and hopefully the process of investigation would be carried out in near future. We believe that this investigation would be an impractical investigation and persons found involved into the incident would be dealt with iron hands. Earlier, he condoled the death of Choudary Akhtar Ali Vireo with his son Khush Akhtar Subhani and offered Dua.
