The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in a high level meeting on Friday has decided to construct modern Marriage Lawns with latest facilities at different sites in Islamabad. The Chairman CDA, Kamran Lashari chaired the meeting. The Director PMO informed the meeting that 16 firms have been pre-qualified after scrutinising 49 prominent firms that applied in response to the advertisement.
These 16 firms have been asked to submit their financial status within a period of one month for further selection. The CDA will establish Marriage Lawns at Park Road, Murree Road, Sector E-1 and Buffer Zone. 'The CDA will provide latest facilities to the public, and these Marriage Lawns will be established on priority basis,' Lashari said.
He urged the concerned departments to expedite the pace of work on the project for its early completion. Marriage Lawns should be constructed in line with modern techniques keeping in view the beautification of the places. The Member, Planning and Design, Raja Nowsherwan, Member Environment, Mazhar Hussain, Director PMO, Dr Faisal Awan and Director, Urban Planning, Ghulam Sarwar Sandhu were also present at the occasion.-PR
