Outgoing Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Dr Nasim Ashraf said on Friday that he made sincere efforts to strengthen the base of the game of cricket in the country. He said this at a farewell meeting with the members of Board of Governors and officials of the PCB at Gadaffi stadium here. Nasim Ashraf claimed that he improved the existing infrastructure and added new cricket facilities.
He also expressed gratitude to all members of the board for extending all out co-operation and assistance for implementing his policies. He said he worked with commitment and always made utmost effort to work for taking Pakistan cricket to new heights. Nasim Ashraf said that he was leaving with lasting memories and as PCB Chairman, he endeavoured to take steps to promote the game of cricket in the country.
The members of the PCB lauded Nasim Ashraf's contribution to the cause of the game by implementing a development plan at all levels. He also had a brief talk with the reporters, and said there were few cricket-related issues, but he tried to handle them with the sole aim to better the image of the country. He also highlighted steps taken by him for the development of the game in the country. The outgoing PCB Chairman gets warm send off.
