Clash between two rival groups: three students killed at Karachi University

At least three students were killed and several others injured in a clash between two rival student groups at Karachi University on Tuesday. Police sources told Business Recorder that Ramesh, Jabbar and Osama were killed and Maaz Farooqi, In charge Jamiat-e-Tulaba, KU and several others injured in a clash between APMSO and Jamiat.
Police said that the body of Ramesh, who belonged to APMSO, was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital while Jabbar and Osama were shifted to JPMC. They belonged to Jamiat. Karachi University, after the incident has officially been closed for two days.
In another incident, an official from State Life Insurance Corporation (SLIC) has escaped attempts on his life by his colleague at State Life Insurance building No-2 in the limits of Frere police station. Police said that Muhammad Ahmad Amjad received seven bullets in his upper torso by his colleague Taqi, who is his subordinate.
They said that injured Amjad was rushed to JPMC for treatment and his condition was said to be serious. Police said that Taqi escaped from the scene after committing the crime. Police said that the case has been registered and the investigation is in progress.
