The Karachi Port handled 69,659 tonnes of cargo including 33,909 tonnes of import, 35,750 tonnes of export cargo and 1,690 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday. The freights comprised of 40,659 tonnes of dry cargo including 11,189 tonnes of general cargo; 17,000 tonnes of coal; 2,400 tonnes of rock phosphate; 10,070 tonnes of cement and 29,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Apl Jebel Ali, Apl Shenzhen, Kota Ekspres, Soon Fu, H&H Tide, Mir Damad and Sunrise Acacia sailed out to sea during the reported period. Four vessels viz Tenth Ocean, Soon Fu, Industrial Dawa and Sapphire-T are currently at the berths.
Six ships namely MT Johar, Sapphire-T, Tenth Ocean, Don Franc Bulic, Sea Bloom and Rhoneborg expected to sail on Friday while another three vessels viz Industrial Dawa, Neptune and New Delhi Express are expected to sail on Saturday.
Seven vessels viz Grigoroussa-1, Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, India Express, New Delhi Express, Adriatic Arrow, Sidratul Muntaha and Star Kappa due to arrive on Friday while another six ships namely Conti Valencia, Ym Inauguration, Bunga Teratai-3, Bavaria Express, Flag Investor and Fatima-1 are due to arrive on Saturday.
Six vessels viz CV Christina, MT Qem Star, CV MSC Rosa-M, CV CMA CGM Nilgai, MT Vema Ocean and MV Sulawasi Palm Container vessel viz ACX Marguerite sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total of ten ships namely Maersk Iowa, QIA Fujaa, Mare Atlantic, Global Jupiter, Gem of Rozi, Med Salvador, Energy Falcon, Mustafa Bay, Captain Markos and Babi Tonga carrying containers, crude oil, palm oil, coke, rape seed, cement and coal respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight vessels viz CV CMA CGM Nilgai, CV MSC Rosa-M, MV Christina, MV Bernica, Orient-II, MV St. Mark, MV Sulawasi Palm, MT Vema Ocean and MV Iran Hamzeh are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, palm oil; diesel oil and iron ore respectively during the report period last 24 hours.
Four ships namely CV Maersk Iowa, CV QIA Fujaa, MT Chemrout Sun and MT Global Jupiter carrying containers, phosphoric acid and palm oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, EVTL and MW-1 respectively on Friday. Container vessel Maersk Iowa and oil tanker Sea Lion are due to arrive on Friday. Ten ships namely New Delhi Express, CV Maersk Novazzano, Bux Lagoon, MT Chemrout Sun, Carolina, Sinar Agra, Chemstar Hero, DL Aster and Prem Pride carrying containers, phosphoric acid, iron Ore, chemicals, palm oil, crude oil and furnace oil are also due to arrive.
