The President, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Mohammad Ali Mian has expressed grave concern over fast deteriorating law and order situation in the province. He has appealed to the Chief Minister, Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Inspector General (IG) of Police to take immediate measures to control this menace.
In a statement issued on Friday he said that dacoity incident at warehouse of M/s Shafqat Automobiles, Sragodha Cantonment area, Gulshan-e-Bilal owned by the LCCI Vice President, Shafqat Saeed Piracha has alarmed all concerned of the society and law. It is worth mentioning that dacoits decamped from the warehouse with three trucks loaded with international brand tyres worth of millions of rupees.
He said that if the security situation in the cantonment areas is so bad then what it could be in the rest of the country. Mian said that the situation has worsened to the extent that the dacoits entered the warehouse in the midnight, gave a severe thrash to the security guards and fled away with millions of rupees of booties.
