Seiji Kojima pays farewell call on CJCSC

The outgoing Ambassador of Japan, Seiji Kojima has paid a farewell call to General Tariq Majid, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), at Joint Staff Headquarters here on Friday. The ambassador discussed with him matters pertaining to changing security environment in the region, enhancement of military co-operation between the two friendly countries and other issues of mutual interest.
The CJCSC highlighted the importance of Pakistan-Japan relations and said that Pakistan is cognisant of the constructive role played by Japan in global and Asian affairs for peace, progress and stability.
He also appreciated Japanese engagement in economic and infrastructure development of Pakistan, various areas of mutual interest and suggested further enhancement of military to military ties. General Majid lauded the Ambassador's efforts for rejuvenating the relations between the two countries and bringing them further closer, paving the way for numerous Pak- Japan ventures.
