Punjab allocates Rs 22 billion for the poor

Punjab government has allocated Rs 22 billion funds for extending financial assistance to the poor and deserving people of the province. Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs, Kamran Michael, said while addressing a function of Christian community at Kanganpur. Michael said distribution of the fund is about to begin and the amount will be awarded in a transparent manner.
Further, he said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is fulfilling all the promises it made to the people during the election campaign. He said that the PML-N leader, Nawaz Sharif is striving for the restoration of pre-November3, 2007 judiciary. In addition, the government is taking effective steps to protect the rights of minorities and to solve their problems on priority basis.
