PTA, police directed to collect cell-phone data

The Adviser to the Prime Minister on Interior, Rehman Malik held a meeting with the Provincial Police Chiefs and the Chairman, PTA regarding access to the cellular phone data to trace criminals. He has directed that the data should be communicated effectively.
Malik has also directed that vehicles coming into the provincial headquarters and Islamabad should be checked at random for any explosives or weapons. He further, asked that suspect passengers should also be asked to produce CNICs and an advertisement campaign may be launched to sensitise the people to carry their CNICs with them all the time.-PR
