Kisan Board Pakistan (KBP) has strongly condemned the government decision to increase electricity prices. In a statement issued here on Monday, KBP President Sardar Zafar Hussein Khan Advocate said that Prime Minister's announcement in this regard on behest of World Bank and IMF was very regrettable.
He said that masses were already facing unprecedented price hike and poverty and this new increase would break the backbone of the masses, industry and farmers. KBP chief said that if the country had to be run on dictation from IMF and World Bank then there had been no need for change of faces and singing the songs of democracy. He said that masses were already facing multiple hardships due to load shedding and they had been given a new gift of price-hike ahead of month of Ramazan.
