Arabica coffee futures trading on ICE continued lower early on Wednesday as the dollar moved higher, while US cocoa turned higher on a short-covering boost, traders said. December coffee down 0.35 cent at $1.441 per lb by 9:23 am EDT (1323 GMT).
Range ran from $1.425 to $1.4475 a lb. December volume 5,706 lots by 9:23 am. Benchmark December cocoa rose $9 to $2,673 a tonne by 9:24 am, spanning $2,627 to $2,694. The rest ranged from $16 higher to $19 lower. December volume a light 3,201 lots by 9:24 am.
