PML-N leaders Tehmina Daultana, Memona Hashmi, Mehmood-ul-Hassan, Shahid Mehmood Khan, Amer Saeed Ansari, Abdul Waheed Arain, PPP leaders Khalid Hanif Lodhi, Khurshid Ahmed Khan, Rizwan Alam, and Aamer Dogar on Friday condemned the ground assault by US coalition forces on a village and US spy plane missile fire in South Waziristan Agency, killing over 27 people in two days, mostly women and children.
In their separate statements they said the attack on the innocent villagers was an outrageous and unacceptable violation of the territorial integrity of the country. They also warned that such incidents would undermine the efforts aimed at curbing militancy and extremism. They called for a thorough investigation into the incidents and adoption of foolproof measures so that such incidents do not occur in the future.
They also called for compensation to the victims. They said that Americans had replied to the present regime after policy statement of Foreign Minister by firing three missiles at two houses in Gorovek from US spy plane and killing four children and three women on the spot and injuring several others.
