After a prolonged delay, hearing of appeals in triple murder case commonly known as Asma Nawab murder case commenced before an Anti Terrorism Appellate (ATA) bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) here on Monday. Waqar Shah advocate, counsel for appellant/ convicted accused Javed submitted arguments on behalf of his client.
The other co-accused are Asma Nawab, Farhan and Waseem who were charged with killing Nawab Khan, father, Abrar Begum, mother of Asma Nawab and her elder brother in 1991. According to prosecution, the accused tried to mislead the police by declaring the triple murder as a dacoity incident.
The ATA bench comprising Justice Ali Sain Dino Metlo and Justice Dr Rana M Shamim after conclusion of arguments by counsel for appellant Javed asked other counsel to argue the case. AQ Halepota, Iqtidar Ali Hashmi advocates sought time to argue the case of their clients. The bench later adjourned the case hearing till September 15for further.
