Jamat-e-Islami Naib Ameer Liaquat Baloch has said that the Pakistan People's Party Co-chairman has been elected as President of Pakistan but he is a controversial figure both in national and international level. He said that he has to prove himself uncontroversial by his deeds.
He also said that now it was the heavy responsibility on the shoulders of Asif Ali Zardari after winning the elections with such a heavy mandate. He said this while talking to the delegations of people from different walks of life at Mansoorah here on Monday.
He demanded that Asif Zardari should take practical steps to solve the power crisis, economic problems of people, restore the judiciary on the position of November 2nd 2007, stop taking loans from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) and put the country on the path of self reliance.
He also demanded that government should stop military operation in Swat, Bajaur, tribal areas and recover the missing persons. He also said that they should respect the mandate of Pakistan Muslim League (N) in Punjab and should stop the efforts of destabilising its government.
