Zardari asked to prepare economic plans with businessmen consultations

Chairman, Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (Kati), Shaikh Fazl-e-Jalil has said that Asif Ali Zardari as the President should give great importance to the economic development of the country.
Talking to Business Recorder on Monday, he congratulated Zardari on winning the presidential election with an overwhelming majority and said that the new President should prepare an economic development roadmap for the country to bring it out of the economic crises.
He said now the President and the Prime Minister are both from the same party. They must concentrate on economic issues and prepare plans in consultation with the business community. He said that Pakistan has been blessed with abundant human and natural resources, which need to be utilised in a proper way to boost industrial and agriculture activities.
He said that the country is facing serious power shortage and high cost of doing business as compared to other countries in the region as also the declining exports, depreciation of rupee which require undivided attention. Former President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) S.M. Munir said that Asif Ali Zardari as the President of the country, will become a symbol of unity between the provinces and the federation. He hoped that under his leadership and guidance the country will progress, prosper and industrial activities will boom.
He hoped that the newly elected President, Prime Minister and his colleagues will succeed in brining the country out of economic crises. Former Chairman Kati, Shaikh Manzar Alam said that during the tenure of Aif Ali Zardari the country would progress in all fields of life.
He hoped that under the able guidance of Zardari the country would make rapid socio-economic progress enabling it to join the developed countries of Asia. He also hoped that the law and order situation will improve, prices of all commodities will start registering downward trend and new jobs will be created.
