Bears returned in the driving seat at the Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE) where major players and short-term margin hunters adopted a cautious approach to avoid heavy losses amid decrease in index. ISE-10 Index showed a decrease of 4.72 points as it moved from 2,076.97 to 2,072.25 points.
The overall turnover stood at 142,000 shares as compared to previous volume of 100,553 shares. Total 56 companies participated in buying and selling activity. Majority of stocks (36) closed in negative territory, 14 closed in positive territory, whereas six companies remained pegged to their overnight levels. The volume of NIB Bank was 68,500 shares. The turnover of National Bank was 19,400 shares. The turnover of Bank of Punjab was 10,000 shares.
