Two dengue fever patients admitted at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) will be discharged soon. Talking to Business Recorder here on Saturday, Waseem Khawaja, executive director Pims said that Ishrat (30) mother and her daughter Habiba (4) was brought to the hospital on September, 10 from Edhi Home.
They both came with a complaint of fever, restlessness and bleeding from stomach. Their blood samples were sent to National Institute of Health (NIH) for viral serology of dengue virus which was reported positive. Therefore they were admitted in Pims medical ward 2 in a separate room. However, now both of them are out of danger and will be discharged soon. "Strict precautionary measures have been taken by the PIMS administration including the use of nets and frequent spraying in the ward", he added.
