Provincial Finance and Planning and Development Minister Tanvir Ashraf Kaira has said that modern courses are being introduced in technical institutions for male/female students and for this purpose it has been decided that technical courses to be revised accordingly. He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of industrialists here on Saturday, disclosed an official.
He said introduction of new courses are being started this year in technical institutes and new courses would be introduced keeping in view the needs of local industries and on modern international trends. Initially these courses are being introduced in eight institutions only, he added.
According to him, on the special direction of the Punjab Chief Minister, the courses of technical education are being revised and up-dated. With the introduction of new courses not only better job opportunities would be offered to students but they could also be self-employed. The technical courses of India and China are also being received and we would introduce these courses in TEVTA keeping in view the requirements of industries.
