Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 191,270 tonnes of cargo including 110,888 tonnes of import, 80,382 tonnes of export cargo and 3,624 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The freights comprised of 130,120 tonnes of dry cargo including 84,494 tonnes of general cargo; 17,510 tonnes of wheat; 4,000 tonnes of coal; 17,089 tonnes of cement and 61,150 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Eleven ships namely Sp 5-Eric G. Gibson, Rhoneborg, Kapitan Byankin, Cape Akritas, BW Captain, Nordana, Olympias, Doris, Obs Swathy, Panama Express and Jin Cheng sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Thirteen vessels viz Jasper Arrow, Nanos, Cape Akritas, Kapitan Byankin, Sp 5-Eric G. Gibson, H H Tide, Deja Bhum, Ym Inventive, Panama Express, Jin Cheng, Maersk Rouen, Addarraq and MT Johar are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Addarraq, Ym Inventive and H. H. Tide expected to sail on Monday while another two vessels viz MT Johar and Sea Bridge expected to sail on Tuesday.
Seven ships namely Valiant, Mol Admiration, Hyundai Duke, Seven Seas Aurora, Sea Al-Batross, Vaibella and Sd Glory due to arrive on Monday while another eight ships namely Ben Aicha, Cape Ferrol, Tower Bridge, Bunga Teratai-4, Empress Phoenix, Apl Shenzhen, City of Xiaman and Qin Hai are due to arrive on Tuesday.

The cargoes comprised of 6,060 tonnes of wheat; 29,249 tonnes of furnace oil; 2,978 tonnes of palm oil; 2,396 tonnes of iron ore; 2,341 tonnes rape seeds; 4,341 tonnes clinker and 25,182 tonnes of containerised cargo. Four vessels viz CV MSC Rosa-M, MV Hellenic Horizon, MT Clipper Trinidad and MT Vema Ocean sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while another two ships namely CV Maersk Novazzano and MV Melpomeni are expected to sail on Monday.
A total of thirteen ships namely al Qawiyyu, Sd Glory, Akmi, Chemstar Brave, New Satokaze, Yanaseni, Toto, Karolina, Pos Dignity, Multi Trader, Nova Noor, Captain Markos and Nordiana-G carrying wheat, iron ore, palm oil, chemicals, coal, iron ore, coal and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, MV Energy Falcon, MV Melpomeni, MV Med Salvador, MT Clipper Trinidad, MT Vema Ocean and MV Hellenic Horizon are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, clinker, wheat, rape seeds, palm oil, furnace oil and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Three ships namely MV Al-Qawiyyu, MV Karolina and MT Yanaseni are expected to take berths at Multi purpose Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Monday. Two vessels viz MV Maersk Delmont and MT Marian are due to arrive on Monday. Four ships namely ACX Jasmine, Maersk Virginia, Qem Star and Apostolos carrying containers, chemicals and wheat are also due to arrive.
