Kamel Izat, who is also a special representative of OIC Secretary General on Kashmir Affairs, said that he had compiled a comprehensive report based on the evidence of Indian atrocities on the refugees of Indian held Kashmir and had proposed respective measures that would be placed in the ministerial conference being held in New York next month.
He appreciated the efforts of all the successive governments of Pakistan to raise the morale of Kashmiris and extended moral, political and diplomatic at international forums. "Though it was my short-term visit to AJK but I maintained a healthy relationship with the leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and held a brief meeting with the refugees of Indian held Kashmir", he said. Kamel also appreciated particularly the Prime Minister of AJK, whom facilitated his visit more productive and worthwhile.
Mufti said that he obtained the ground realities in a more easier way owing to meeting arranged with AJK President Zulqarnain and also meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani. He emphasised that the final solution for any problem rested on political dialogue and "history is witnessed that any coercive action proposed by the Super Powers could not resultant for the viable solution rather it created more mess in the world", he said.
