PPP government will support film industry: Badr

Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Secretary General Jahangir Badr has said that there should be enhancement of trade between India and Pakistan and his government wants peaceful relationship with India. He was talking to the reporters at an Iftar dinner hosted by film star Zareen to celebrate the victory of Asif Ali Zardari in the presidential elections and revival of democracy in the country.
He said that film industry should be reorganised and announced that PPP government will fully support them in solving their financial problems. He appreciated the role of media in the revival of democracy in the country.
Provincial Revenue Minister Haji Ishaq and Secretary General, PPP Punjab, Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas has said that some elements of the society want to destroy the democracy but the workers of PPP will fail any such move. The ceremony was attended by comedians Amannullah, Babu Baral, film stars Arbaz Khan, Khushboo and Madiha Shah.
