Fire breaks out at hospital

Panic gripped Fatima Memorial Hospital, Shadman, when fire broke out in the first floor waiting room of the hospital early on Tuesday morning. The fire burnt the furniture and some electrical appliances. There was no injury or loss of human life claimed due to the incident.
However, the hospital management had to shift some patients to adjacent safer areas of the hospital and nearby healthcare facilities. Within three hours of the incident, all patients were shifted back to their own wards at the hospital, a spokesperson of the hospital said.
Moreover, the incident is being investigated with a view to ensuring that such accidents do not happen in the future. The management appreciated the prompt response of Rescue 1122 service and hospital's staff and attendants of the patients.
