Calligraphy is an age-old art that is both aesthetically and religiously fulfilling, in the colourful and creative depiction of 'Ahadis' and verses from the Holy Quran, said Punjab Minister for Culture and Youth Affairs, Dr Tanvirul Islam, while witnessing a calligraphy exhibition here at the Alhamra Art Gallery.
Executive Director Punjab Arts Council, Ghulam Mustafa and ED Alhamra Arts Council, Asghar Gillani were also present on the occasion, according to a handout. The minister appreciated the over 100 art works presented on the occasion, and directed the Punjab Arts Council administration to hold similar exhibitions in other cities of the province also.
