'PPP supporting PML-N in Punjab unconditionally'

20 Sep, 2008

Senior Minister Punjab Government Raja Riaz said Pakistan People's Party (PPP) was supporting Pakistan Muslim League (N) government in Punjab unconditionally. In Punjab they took no such steps that could lead to disunity and they were still with the PML-N, he said while talking to a private television channel.
Raja Riaz said: "We never announced to quit the coalition even in the centre. PML-N parted its way in the centre. In the presidential election they opposed us." To a question he said: "We don't understand why they (PML-N) are looking toward someone else as Asif Ali Zardari had clarified that PPP would never leave them alone and it would further strengthen them." The Senior Minister said PML-N only raised one issue and that was restoration of judges. "Now we are reinstating them then what is the issue as those judges for whom they are fighting are taking oath," he said.
