Treatment to migratory livestock: 'veterinarian team dispatched to Badin'

Director Animal Husbandry Sindh, Hyderabad Dr Ghulam Sarwar Shaikh has said that a team of veterinarians and others has been dispatched and detailed at Nareri Dhandh near Village Amir Bux Jamali, District Badin to provide veterinary services to the migratory livestock.
Talking to official media at his office here on Sunday he said the team is comprised veterinary doctors, disease investigation officer, district officer livestock Badin, veterinary officer and research officer from Disease Diagnostic Laboratory. Responding to a question about mortality of some migratory animals at Nareri Dhandh, the Director Animal Husbandry said that livestock herds comprising of cattles and buffaloes coming back to irrigated areas, after having good days on the green pastures of the desert, faced health hazards.
He said that Sindh Minister for Livestock. Abdul Haq Bhurt and Secretary Livestock & Fisheries Shoeb Ahmed Siddiqui, while taking notice of the media reports about the spreads of diseases at reported area, issued instructions for providing immediate relief to the livestock owners, investigate the problems and take preventive and curative steps.
