Pakistan People's Party Senator, Babar Awan has said the government will arrange a briefing on security issue for both houses of the parliament soon. In an interview to BBC radio, he said, "We are going to arrange a briefing on security issues for both houses of the parliament soon".
To a question he said, it is wrong to say that PPP-led government is pursuing pervious government's policy on war against terrorism adding the parliament being a supreme body, will formulate the policy on war against terrorism. He further said the government would formulate national policy to control terrorism.
"The entire political leadership and the nation have to ponder over the situation. Development of policy is not sufficient to stop terrorist attack", he added. To another question, he said there is national consensus on the issue that Pakistan is fighting against terrorism on its own interest.
