23 Sep, 2008

The lawyers will observe 'Yaume Iftikhar' on Tuesday during which the bar councils and bar associations would hold meetings to renew their pledge to see Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry back to the office of Chief Justice Pakistan.
The lawyers will also hold token boycott and hunger strike camps to mark their protest against the November 3 PCO issued by former president Pervez Musharraf. 'Yaume Iftikhar' is being especially observed in view of the fact, the government has got re-appointed majority of the deposed judges.
Respecting the resolve and appreciate their steadfastness on what the lawyers say, principled stand, the bar council has announced to dedicate a day to Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
